Trust Cozy has just recently been birthed this year 2017 but the love and passion for my work began many years ago. I have changed business names a few times but I feel as though I have found the perfect name now! I was taught how to crochet in middle school by my 8th grade home economics teacher. I started out making a blanket and I have been whipping stitches ever since. Back then it was really a hobby until about 2013 when people began to tell me I should sell my work. My husband was one of those people. He insisted I do it so I gave in and decided I was going to try. I started with small things like baby hats and diaper covers because at the time I had just had my third little angel Cacey and he was the perfect model. I honestly had no idea about the business side of anything. I was just trying my luck. The more people requested custom items, the more knowledgeable I became in my craft.
It wasnt until the end of 2016 that I began to take my business seriously because I needed to. In November, we lost one of our children. After the death of my son, I vowed that I would make sure to live my life how I really wanted to and to devote my time becoming the best I could be. That is when I quit my job and decided that I wasnt going to continue to do the things that didnt make me happy. I wanted to pursue my dreams and make my husband and children proud. It has been a lot of blood, sweat , and grueling tears but I feel so happy and my heart is full because I am able to share my passion with people through my work. I want people to know that you can follow your dreams and you can achieve whatever you believe in. There will be some days where you are high and some days that are so low but if you have faith and just a little strength, you will develop a passion so fierce that you will blaze every path you set your foot on. It is never too late to chase your dream and no matter what anyone says, being you is just enough.
Rest In Peace Caiden! Mommy loves you...
